Human Resources Director

Intervention Services Inc. (ISI), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, has been in the business of helping children and families in Central Florida since 1994. Job Description: To ensure efficient, effective, and ethical functioning of all items related to Human Resources, Professional Development and Continuing Education.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Create, review and update HR policies & procedures as needed and ensure compliance with State and Federal laws.
Advise supervisors on company policies regarding equal employment opportunity, compensation and benefits, and other applicable State and Federal laws.
Review and makes recommendations to Executive Management for improvement of agency’s policies, procedures, and practices on personnel matters.
Ensure alignment of HR strategies and practices with the mission, objectives and business plan of the agency.
Communicate employee benefits; seeks cost-effective alternatives for annual plan renewals.
Coordinate employee leave in accordance with FMLA guidelines.
Administer worker’s compensation and unemployment compensation claims and compliance.
Coordinate distribution of annual employee satisfaction surveys and documents results.
Revise/update employee handbook as needed.
Maintain Credentialing Staff Roster reports for insurance companies, update new hire credentialing packet as needed.
Create, review and revise job descriptions. Distribute new position announcements internally and externally.
Maintain and monitor online learning program for compliance with COA, ISI and contract training requirements.
Coordinate and provide HR Management Training for management staff.
Conduct new hire orientation; update employee orientation annually or as needed.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Management or a related field of study from an accredited college or university; Master’s Degree preferred
PHR or SPHR Certification preferred
Successful background screenings through local law enforcement, Florida Dept. of Law Enforcement, and FBI

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Demonstrates an awareness and sensitivity to our service populations cultural and socioeconomic characteristics
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
Good planning, organizational and problem solving skills
Develops constructive and cooperative working relationships with others
Proficient in Microsoft applications (word processing, spreadsheets, database, and emailing)
